FUN AT OUR SAMBOREE

We hope you will join us for our Samborees.  Spring and Fall Samborees are held in Shawnee and Claremore, Oklahoma.  We hope the following descriptions will give you information at to what to expect for fun and enjoyment.

• We have lots of coffee and donuts every morning with our friends, old and new.
• We play games such as: Cards, Hand & Foot, Chicken Foot, Skip Bo and Dominoes, other games are horseshoes, washer toss, bocce ball, bean bag and sand bag baseball, yard golf, real golf tournaments, bull toss, tractor rodeo, costume parade and much more. Many of the games are held on Wednesday, some outside games on Saturday morning.  On Saturday afternoon, we present awards to the winners of the games.  Both men and women take part in these activities.  We have a lot of FUN playing the games.  Some say, “You would think we were children again.”
• We have craft classes for those who enjoy crafts.
• Many enjoy seminars on a variety of subjects, such as: CD & DVDs burning from our own “Computer Doctor”. “RV Steamer’s “Steam Carpet Cleaning, Medicare changes, RV Electric circuits & Chemistry, Mary Kay Products, Keeping Gray & Black tanks clean, and this is to mention only a few, changing every Samboree to help RV life style.
• We give door prizes away EVERY DAY!    
• Many folks enjoy the fun and exercise of our line dancing.
• Good Sam Members.  Bring your instrument, and play with some really talented friends.  Wednesday is gospel entertainment night.  Thursday & Friday find us seeking dance bands or entertainment from local school programs.  There are times we have a dance band on Friday evening, but Saturday is the night that we always have a dance band and encourage everyone to dance if they like.
• Some of our chapters have Raffle tables and use the proceeds as way to earn money for their charity support.
• We have FREE ice cream.
• We have FIRST TIMERS meetings to let all first-timers know what we are about.
• You will enjoy our Good Sam Store & patch booth, where you can buy Good Sam Shirts and other special items.
• Fun at the CAKE WALK.  Each chapter contributes 2 cakes.  The money received is then contributed to a very special organization, “DOGS FOR THE DEAF”.
• On Saturday morning, you can share in the fun at the “craft & swap” flea market.  This activity allows everyone an opportunity to display and sell their crafts, books, or just items they would like to sell.  This is a chance to sell a few RV related items you may have and just don’t need.  Get gas money to get home.
• We have a lot GREAT VENDORS to serve you, including outside RV vendors who come to show their new and used RVs.
• For ladies into “RED HAT”, we have 2 Red Hat Chapters in the state for your pleasure.
